CEEC TEPC Starts ‘Power+Water’ Supply Mode for Pakistan

  On June 20 Pakistani local time, Brig Muhammad Naseem and Dr Nawazish Ali from Islamabad visited the CEEC TEPC Pakistan HUBCO project site to learn about the operation of seawater desalination system.
  HUBCO project faces the Arabic sea and its seawater desalination system consists of ultra filtration and two-stage RO processing. Currently qualified edible water is readily made from the system and available on the site. The demand for makeup water and industrial water on site can be met fully. The delegates were shown the V-shape filtration basin and demineralization room, among other desalination equipment. Later on, a deep exchange on future cooperation was carried out by the two parties.
  It is known that Pakistan suffers from severe water and power shortage and that there are over 20 million acres of land nationwide lay barren due to lack of irrigation. Mature and advanced experiences from China is earnestly needed. HUBCO project is a part of the ‘China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’ scheme whose primary goal is to alleviate the energy crisis with the building of lots of cooperation power projects where a large demand for seawater desalination arise in turn. CEEC TEPC shall continue to provide the ‘power+water’ supply solution in Pakistan.
