Contract Signing Ceremony of General Construction of Civil Work for Pakistan Jamshoro 2X660MW Ultra-Supercritical TPP Project

On the afternoon of December 25, the signing ceremony of the general contracting of the civil construction of the 2 x 660 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant in Jamshoro, Pakistan was held in Tianjin. Yang Qingli, Vice General Manager of Harbin Electric International Engineering Co., Ltd., and Fu Xiujun, Chairman of the Board (Executive Director) & Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of TEPC, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The signing ceremony was presided over by Li Lixin, Deputy General Manager of TEPC Overseas Engineering Company.

Fu said that HEI and TEPC have maintained close ties and good cooperation for a long time. This time, following the projects of Mahan, Tuticorin, Jharkhand, Guddu, Bhikki, Balloki, Zetas, Dubai Hassyan and other projects, the two sides will work together again and continue to cooperate, which will surely burst out new energy and create new brilliance. The Jamshoro project is significant for both sides. The company will make every effort to build the project into a high-quality and demonstration project in Pakistan, to enhance the brand of both sides and contribute to the development of Belt and Road.

Yang thanked TEPC for its strong support to HEI. He stressed that the Jamshoro project is another project jointly developed by both sides and is a new starting point for cooperation between the two sides. At this new starting point, he hoped that the two sides will continue to cooperate, and TEPC would perform this project with high standards and strict requirements.

Zhang Yang, General Manager of HEI's Fourth Business Division, and Zhao Zhiyong, Deputy General Manager of TEPC and Executive General Manager of Overseas Engineering Company of TEPC, signed the contract on behalf of HEI and TEPC respectively.

Before signing the contract, the two sides had friendly talks on project construction. The HEI's Jamshoro Project Department reported project planning, preparation and major progress. It was reported that the 2X660 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant in Jamshoro, Sindh Province, Pakistan, is jointly contracted by Siemens and HEI. The construction period is 36 months. TEPC mainly undertakes the construction of the whole project and the railway project in the factory.
