CEEC’s Pakistan Hubco project won the International Engineering Management Award

  On November 1st, CEEC’s 2×660 MW coal-fired power plant project in Hubco, Pakistan, which was commissioned, operated and maintained by CEEC, won the 2020 International Engineering Management Award-- IPMA Bronze Excellence Award.
  It is reported that the International Project Management Association (IPMA) is a professional organization of international project management composed of project management professional organizations from more than 40 countries around the world. In 2001, the International Project Management Association officially launched Project Excellence Model to evaluate project management, and conducted the International Project Management Awards based on the model.
  The project was started on March 21, 2017 and was put into commercial operation on October 21, 2019, with an EPC contract from the CPEC NWEPDI-TEPC consortium.
  The project is a priority project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, with a total installed capacity of 1.32 million kilowatts, and the main construction includes the power plant and dedicated coal jetty, and the use of advanced emission reduction technologies. When the project was launched, it met the power needs of 4 million Pakistani households and created nearly 10,000 jobs, providing new momentum for Pakistan's economic and social development.
